We're looking for an experienced and qualified Head Chef to organize the kitchen’s activities for our restaurant in Denpasar, with Indonesian and Western concepts.
You will be the first in command in the facilities. You will also create and inspect dishes before they arrive at the customers, ensuring high quality and contentment.
Responsibilities:
- Controlling and directing the food preparation process and any other relative activities.
- Constructing menus with new or existing culinary creations, ensuring the variety and quality of the servings.
- Estimating costs and ensuring all purchases come within budget.
- Approving and “polishing" dishes before they reach the customer.
- Planning orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages.
- Arranging for repairs when necessary.
- Remedying any problem or defect.
- Being fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff.
- Overseeing the work of subordinates.
- Estimating staff’s workload and compensations.
- Maintaining records of attendance.
- Complying with nutrition and sanitation regulations, as well as safety standards.
- Fostering a climate of cooperation and respect between coworkers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as head chef.
- Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management.
- Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
- Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes.
- Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Credentials in health and safety training.
