Membership Sales Manager

Main Duties:
Overall strategy
- To review and develop the current and futures membership offering including programs and benefits
- To develop and implement a Membership growth strategy, covering sales, marketing and retention, in order to deliver volume and income growth against ambitious targets
Recruitment and acquisition
- Develop and manage the delivery of campaigns to recruit new members
- Implement systems to identify individuals with a high propensity with the aim of recruiting them as members
- Ensure that the membership offering is clearly presented through DKPH digital channels, onsite for visitors, and across wider public programme activities
- Research and acquire opportunities to promote membership via partnerships or third party affiliates
Retention
- To act as the primary contact for members beyond the day-to-day administration of the scheme as carried out by the Membership Coordinator
- Develop membership retention strategies and targets
- Manage the delivery of campaigns designed to retain existing members
- Oversee all renewal systems and communications, supporting the Membership Coordinator who will administer these activities
- Ensure that benefits delivery is carried out across all departments to improve membership satisfaction
Events
- Lead on the planning and delivery of members’ events and develop a regular programme of activities for members
- Work alongside the Public Programmes team to ensure that membership events are coordinated with the standard programme of events
- Regularly attend public events as needed and other regular events that sit across programmes, membership and development
Database, marketing and communications
- In collaboration with the IT Manager and Marketing Team, develop a membership customer journey strategy and create Sales force database
- Be the internal champion for the CRM database, maintaining an overarching understanding of how the database is used throughout the organization
- Regularly interrogate and analyses the database to support the recruitment and retention activities and improve campaign effectiveness
- Lead on the implementation of a marketing strategy for membership, working alongside the Marketing and Digital Teams to cover both digital and print
- Develop and deliver membership marketing campaigns across all channels
- Lead on the production of the quarterly members’ newsletter
- Quality control on all membership communications, advertising and literature to ensure they comply with brand guidelines
Finances and reporting
- Be accountable to the Head of Marketing and Communications for the Membership budget and spend, forecasting regularly
- Implement reconciliation systems with the Finance Department to ensure that Membership and Finance reporting of membership income is consistent
- Synthesize membership data into comprehensive reports that can be delivered at senior management.
Development and fundraising
- Act as the primary liaison with the Head of AGP to ensure that the DKPH membership scheme is in alignment with the wider philanthropic giving program.
- Assist with the development of a Patronage scheme, ensuring that there is a smooth and consistent link with membership to support the ladder of giving
Line management
- Act as the line manager for the Membership Coordinator, conducting regular one-to-ones and performance appraisals
- Provide support, guidance and inspiration to the Membership Coordinator and encourage opportunities for professional development when possible
- Create and promote a team environment
Other:
- Maintain a strong understanding of membership practices within the operation, in-house guests, event and culture sector, attending networking events as and when appropriate
